Watch the video and listen to the song and fill in the missing words from the lyrics of the song "An Englishman in New York" by Sting
I don't drink coffee I take my dear
I like my toast done the side
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
I'm an Englishman in New York
I like my toast done the side
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
I'm an Englishman in New York
See me down Fifth Avenue
A walking cane here at my side
I take it I walk
I'm an Englishman in New York
A walking cane here at my side
I take it I walk
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien
I'm a legal
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien
I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm a legal
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien
I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
If "manners maketh man" as someone said
Then he's the of the day
It takes a man to suffer and
Be yourself no matter what they say
Then he's the of the day
It takes a man to suffer and
Be yourself no matter what they say
I'm an alien
I'm a legal alien

Modesty, propriety can to notoriety
You could as the only one
Gentleness, sobriety are in this society
At night a candle's brighter than the sun
You could as the only one
Gentleness, sobriety are in this society
At night a candle's brighter than the sun
Takes more than combat gear to make a
Takes more than license for a
Confront your enemies, them when you can
A gentleman will walk but never
Takes more than license for a
Confront your enemies, them when you can
A gentleman will walk but never
If "manners maketh man" as someone said
Then he's the hero of the day
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
Be no matter what they
Then he's the hero of the day
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
Be no matter what they
I'm an alien
I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien
I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien
I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York

- We use the Present Perfect Progressive to emphasise the duration or continuous course of an action.
